NOPI Nationals 2004

While browsing through car photos on Nopi’s website, I actually found a photo of my car when we drove into the Atlanta Motor Speedway back in September of 2004 (before my time at Western) for the car show. I have really put my car on hold for my education. It’s an expensive hobby, but you do it piece by piece when you can (except if you can afford it). The reward is to drive it and show it. Unfortunately, I haven’t driven it since I left for DC back in May. I have shown it in Rockingham and Nopi back in 2004, but it will be wonderful to start working on it again after I graduate!!

For those of you who don’t know, Nopi is a motor sports show that is held across the nation throughout the year, and in September, Nopi Nationals is held in Atlanta, Georgia (a must-see for any car/truck/whatever - enthusiast). It’s not such a far trip from Cullowhee, as most of us know. But in the summer, Nopi North Carolina is usually held at ‘The Rock’ in Rockingham, NC. This is more fun for me because you can watch them drag race the whole day! But Hot Import Nights (HIN) is another show held in Charlotte, which is a nice break from all of those hot and sunny car shows (and closer for me).

This is my car (with my old hood) as we entered the actual race track to park for the car show:
