Last Week of Classes

Well here it is already, the last week of classes. Yesterday was “reading day”, I guess school thinks it is good to cancel classes for the day so we can read. So yesterday was good, finished up group final project, and slept a lot. Also, yesterday we had the Greek Awards Ceremony. Many different awards were given out, most improved GPA and Intramural Champions, which happens to be us, SigEp. So yup, 3 years running now, we are All-Campus Intramural Champions. I have been desperately working for about a week or so on a presentation for my Leadership class, taught by Bart Andrus. Bart is pretty much in charge of everything, all Greeks, leadership program, clubs, etc...Bart has some involvement. I am doing my presentation on Authentic Leadership which is another way to look at leadership and running a company. Bill George is the author of the book, and I just finished reading it the other day, it is really interesting.
This Saturday is the SigEp Volleyball Tournament that I have been planning. Unluckily, I did not plan the rain that looks like will be falling on that day. What can ya do, you know?
Also, last week WCU had its first ever Greek Tailgate and Cook off. There was an actual Cook off, where Bogart’s a local restaurant donated hamburger meat to every greek organization participating. Luckily, we have a great cook in our Fraternity and made his famous family Black and Blue Cheeseburger. It won over the judges in a landslide, and SigEp now will have a weekly special item named after us at Bogart’s. So that is pretty cool, also we had the most people there out of all the Fraternity’s and Sorority’s so we also won a Coke Tailgating package which includes, new tent, coolers, grill, coozies, and everything else you need for an awesome tailgate. In addition to all that, we also won 2 reserved tailgate spots for each home football game next Fall, with signs. SigEp definitely showed everyone why we are the best.
