This week 5th week grades comes out. The semester has been going on good for a while. And Good news, we have another new member. Luckily, with Sig Ep with our Balanced Man Program we are allowed to pick up new members any time of the year. That is why the Balanced Man Program is the best Member development program. We have been working on Homecoming the past few weeks, the planning, meetings and so on. And Homecoming is only in less than 2 weeks away! Every year groups from IFC(fraternities), CPC(Sororities), and NPHC(Black Sororities and Fraternities) are grouped up in teams of 2 or 3 organizations. We do certain events together, like a relay at the soccer game, banner contest, and most importantly build, and put together a Homecoming Float that will be in the homecoming parade in Sylva on the Friday night before Homecoming Saturday.
This past week the Greeks(IFC + CPC) adopted or hosted the Women’s soccer game, where the lady Catamounts defeated UNC-Asheville 3-0. At halftime, they had a greek relay and some fraternities and sororities participated in the relay where we had to do soccer skills. Sigma Chi eventually won, even though Paul Young, a member of Sigma Chi and friend of mine cannot chug Powerade to save his life.
Elections are coming up in around a month and there is a lot of action around campus, Heath Schuler is coming to WCU in a few weeks to talk to students on a monday night on the UC lawn.
A couple weeks ago i joined the International Business club, we are meeting once a week to discuss a future trip next semester, probably during spring break to visit a foreign country, we are talking about Holland, the UK, and Canada. We are checking prices of flights and hotels over in those areas. While over there we will of course check out the country and also check out a company that we choose after we find out where we are going. I am definlty looking forward to that.
