Work, Work, Work

It seems like I have been working non-stop on an endless amount of things for weeks now.  We just had our Parents Weekend with SigEp and that went great.  A lot of parents showed up for a great BBQ, cooked and prepared by one of our brothers.  We gave our awards to brothers for Highest GPA, Brother of the Year, Most Athletic, and so on.  I think the parents really enjoyed it.  Classes are almost coming to an end, but the work load is not.  I just took the hardest Statistics test I have ever taken in my life about 30 minutes ago.  I am pretty sure I did decent on it, enough to keep my average up.  Soon enough though, summer will be here and it will be great.

Formal is also right around the corner, well in 4 days.  I am very excited, hopefully I can get a couple pictures to put up here of Formal.  The Intramural Soccer season is also in full blast right now, and SigEp is 2-0.  Hopefully we can repeat this year and win All-Campus Soccer again.  I also was offered a bet, from many of my brothers.  If we win All-Campus Soccer this season I will shave my head.  Something a bunch of them have been wanting to do for some time now, hopefully we win.

Eventful week

These past few weeks have been eventful, along with the next couple weeks ahead will be the same. I am currently the VP of Programming for my Fraternity, Sigma Phi Epsilon or as we call ourselves SigEp. Which means I am in charge of planning and “programming” every SigEp function. In the next few weeks SigEp has a lot going on from this coming weekend we have our Parents Weekend where parents are invited up to the house to enjoy a BBQ and play some volleyball. The next weekend we have our annual Formal in Atlanta at the 755 club in Turner Field(where the Atlanta Braves play). I am really pumped about formal. Then in a few weeks after that, close to where school is out, we have another annual event, the SigEp Beach Volleyball Tournament. It is where students, faculty, staff, locals around the community can make teams, and play in an all day tournament at our house on a Saturday afternoon. Something else I am very actively involved in is Intramurals. For the 3rd straight year now, my fraternity, SigEp has won All-Campus Champion for the Fraternity league.

So This weekend (kinda talking backwards now) myself, our president, and our finance guy drove down to Atlanta to check out the 755 club. Man it is super nice, now all I have to find is a date! After we got done meeting with the 755 club rep and touring the place we drove to GA Tech, since it is in Atlanta. We went in hopes of meeting some of the SigEp’s at their house. Unfortunately, unknown to our knowledge and after driving around for about an hour looking for the house, GA Tech was on spring break.

I also cannot believe that classes are almost over. Lucky for me, I am doing very well in all my classes this semester and cannot wait till summer hits Cullowhee.  To anyone that can live up here during the summer, summer in Cullowhee is the greatest.
