Well, everything has been going really well at work. I have been learning a whole lot. I have spent a great majority of time assisting the engineers complete some prototyping samples for some potential customers. We completed one major sample yesterday, and I helped finish two today. I have also spent some time working on Solid Works. This has been somewhat of a challenge, but at the same time it has been very rewarding and fun. Today, I worked on a logo for a bitted key. It took a while, but I finally completed it. Tomorrow, I may possibly be involved in helping set up a project for one of the prototype samples that we just sent out.
Beyond what I have learned and experienced, it has been a pleasure to work at this facility. Every person has been very helpful and nice. The working conditions in every part of the plant - from the office space to the tool room is exceptionally clean. Another factor that I have really noticed is the high standards that the company upholds. Overall, I feel that this facility is perfect place for me to do my internship this summer. Everyday I am more and more grateful for this opportunity.

Well, this week has been quite an experience and a fun one at that. I started my Co-op this Monday. The facility at which I will be doing this is very nice. The first two days mostly involved observance. Monday, I sat in on an R & D meeting. No doubt, most of the content of the meeting glazed over my head, but it still was a good experience. I spent most of the day Tuesday on an online tutorial on Solid Works. Wednesday, I followed the engineering manager around on the plant floor, and sat in on a project meeting. Today, I spent all day helping the design engineer finish a sample of assemblies that need to be sent out by tomorrow. To summarize it all, I have learned a lot and I thoroughly enjoy it.

Well, this has been a week of finalizing this semester. I am happy that I made it through with good grades. I found out Tuesday that I made A’s on both of the Western classes that I took. That is something to rejoice about! No doubt, it was a semester of numerous challenges and lait nights, but it was worth it all.
Even though I just completed the Spring semester, I started up a summer Western class Wednesday night. This is a directed project class in which I will be doing an internship. I am going today to sign the papers for this internship and have a physical done. I start working there this Monday and I am really excited about it. I will be working for this company full-time until the first part of August - at least that is the tentative plan. Next week, I will have plenty to share concerning my experiences in this internship.

Well, I just completed two of my Western classes last night. The robot project was quite fun, but it was good for it to be done. Upon completing my robot project, I also finished my parametric modeling class. I really enjoyed that class and I feel that it will be very useful down the road. Now, all I have left to do is a final exam in statistics on Tuesday.
The Wednesday following that exam, I start my directed project class and then Thursday I begin a occupational safety class at AB-Tech in Asheville. However, I feel that this summer will not be a heavy load at all given that the directed project will involve an internship. I begin that on May 15th, and I am really looking forward to it. At this internship, I will be using what I learned in my parametric modeling class just this past semester. I am sure that I will have plenty to share with you this summer from my experiences in this internship. Stay tuned.
