In fulfilling this role, the College provides undergraduate and graduate programs that are committed to providing learning opportunities to students aspiring to careers that serve the needs of our society. Service to disadvantaged segments of society most in need of care across age, cultural, and socioeconomic spectrum are central to the mission of the College’s educational programs.
The College’s faculty members engage in instruction, scholarly work, and service with an emphasis on student-faculty involvement. A hallmark of the College, student-faculty involvement promotes creativity and critical thinking in the diverse student population. Students in the College of Health and Human Sciences are recognized for their academic achievement through the posted dean’s list each semester.
The faculty provides service to WCU students and the university at large through student advisement, service, continuing education opportunities, maintaining currency in areas of expertise, active involvement in professional organizations, and scholarly activities.
